Caprese cake is one of the desserts that more than others represents the most "greedy" moment of a lunch. It is a simple cake made only with almonds and chocolate, without flour or yeast: light and tasty. Legend has it that this cake was born at the beginning of the last century following the mistake of a pastry chef who, in preparing a cake for some friends of Al Capone, because the emotion, forgot about the flour: he could have risked his life treaty of a mistake that gave life to one of the most famous cakes of the Amalfi Coast.
